CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY

A little care will help preserve the finish and appearance of your jewelry for longer.

GENERAL CARE

• Put your jewelry on after applying perfume, lotion, makeup, sunscreen and hair products.

• Remove jewelry before washing your hands, showering, swimming, exercising, sleeping or cleaning.

• Avoid contact with water, sweat, perfume, oils, cosmetics, chlorine, salt water and household chemicals.

• Handle delicate chains, clasps, stones and charms carefully. Avoid pulling, twisting or dropping your jewelry.

CLEANING

Gold-Plated Jewelry

Gently wipe each piece after wearing with a clean, soft and dry cloth. Do not use jewelry dips, chemical cleaners, polishing liquids, abrasive cloths, toothpaste, ultrasonic cleaners or steam cleaners, as these may damage or remove the plating.

Stainless Steel Jewelry

Use a soft, dry cloth for regular cleaning. If necessary, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and dry the piece completely immediately afterwards. If the stainless steel is gold-plated, follow the gold-plated jewelry instructions above.

Pearls, Enamel and Stones

Do not soak pearls, enamel, crystals or stones in water. Wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, direct heat and prolonged sunlight.

Pearl jewelry should be the last item you put on and the first item you remove.

STORAGE

• Store jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.

• Keep each piece separately in a soft pouch or lined jewelry box to reduce scratching, tangling and contact between metals.

• Fasten necklace and bracelet clasps before storing, and lay delicate chains flat whenever possible.

• Avoid storing jewelry in bathrooms or other humid areas.

ADJUSTABLE JEWELRY

Adjust open rings, cuffs and other adjustable pieces slowly and gently. Repeated bending or excessive force may weaken the metal or affect its original shape.

ABOUT PLATED FINISHES

Plated finishes may gradually change with regular wear. Their longevity can vary depending on frequency of use, friction, skin chemistry and exposure to moisture or personal-care products. Following these care instructions will help preserve the finish for longer.
